  • Introduction to Sage 50 – Interface navigation, module explanations and company and user setup.
  • Customers – Explanation of sales (debtor) ledger, setup of new customers and procedure for raising and printing invoices or credit notes.
  • Suppliers – Explanation of purchase (creditor) ledger, setup of new suppliers and procedure for entering invoices and credit notes.
  • Bank – Introduction to the bank module, how to tailor existing accounts, create new accounts and a demonstration of the integration with the sales, purchase and nominal ledger for dealing with payments and receipts to suppliers and from customers
  • VAT module – Introduction to the VAT module with a step by step guide to the preparation of periodic VAT100 return for submission to HMRC.
  • Credit Control – Explanation of reports required for a logical approach to credit control and application to the sales and purchase ledgers.
  • Periodic data accuracy and integrity checks – Different procedures will be shown to enable the user to check for errors in the crucial control accounts held on the nominal ledger.
  • Housekeeping – Explanations of the importance keeping a regular back-up of your Sage 50 data and what the procedure is should anything go wrong with the program.
